Door Sizes And Their Uses.

Doors come in different sizes and these sizes are based on the particular part of the building where it is installed. Specific door sizes are adapted to particular areas in a building. Some door sizes do better as building access doors instead of room doors or as toilet doors.
There are three major door sizes and they include:
1.  2.6ft doors
2.   3ft doors
3.   4ft doors

2.6ft doors are specially used as toilet and bathroom doors. The width of this kind of door is approximately 2.6ft. It does not mean that other door sizes cannot be used for the toilet and bathroom but 2.6ft doors are the most appropriate.
3ft doors are also called room doors because they remain the best profile whenever we have room doors in mind. 2.6ft doors are too small for this adaptation and 4ft doors are too big. But they can as well be used for that purpose but it is not the best practice.
4ft doors are most appropriate as building access doors by the virtue of their sizes which is approximately 4ft. It can still be used as room doors and office doors but inappropriate as toilet doors. This door always come with two leaves, a bigger leaf and a smaller leaf. Bigger door sizes like 5ft and 6ft doors can also do the work of 4ft but it depends on the taste of the builder and purpose for which the building is built. Churches, halls and malls can even use access doors of 10ft to 12 ft because the kind of human traffic using the doors.
